Life is a beach adventure... at the "Beach Retreat". The Beach Retreat is located in the trendy seaside village of Encinitas, California.

Looking for something unusual? Looking to stay in an authentic seaside home? Built in the 1950s, "The Beach Retreat" was one of the original homes overlooking Moonlight Beach. This California-style beach bungalow was originally designed as a five bedroom home on two levels. Years ago, the beach level was remodeled and converted into "The Beach Retreat". The Beach Retreat offers our guests the pleasure of two bedrooms and one bath single level home that has been turn key furnished with a variety of interesting and eclectic furnishings. After a sun filled day refresh yourself in the ocean view patio spa, grill your dinner on the outdoor BBQ and relax in the comfortable patio furniture. Be prepared to enjoy the balmy breezes and spectacular coastal sunsets!

A gift basket and bottle of wine await every guest's arrival. There is a fully supplied kitchen, dining area with table and chairs, outside dining area and a kitchen counter/bar. There is also a fully equipped laundry area for those longer stays that might require it. Something for everyone!

Beaches, street bazaars, flowers, peace and love await you in the trendy seaside town of Encinitas. Encinitas is a place where diversity rules and is celebrated daily. There's an established district with beaches and shady, tree-lined streets located on Historic 101. Locals welcome guests and give the impression of a happy, old-fashioned place where businesses such as Encinitas Surfboards have plied their craft since 1975. With an average annual temperature of 72 degrees and sunshine nearly every day, life feels great, no matter what you do in Encinitas.

Enjoy one of the many fine restaurants, including sidewalk cafes on the main street of Encinitas or take a walk to the romantic overlook above Moonlight Beach.. and will soon realize that life is beach after beach in Encinitas.

If you want to hit the waves, Swamis is the place. It is located at the southern end of Encinitas and offers world-class surfing. If you want to put on your swim suit and soak up rays, The Boneyard at 4th and D Streets is a spot where you can do that. Activities for visitors include shopping, eating, sunbathing, swimming, surfing, museums and galleries, meditation and enlightenment and flower power. Once recognized as "the flower capital of the world," and spot where the renowned Ecke poinsettia was introduced in 1923, drop by one of the commercial nurseries open to the public and purchase a traditional poinsettia that grow rapidly in southern California. The Quail Botanical Garden claims it has the largest bamboo collection in the US. It is considered one of the best gardens in San Diego County and well worth a small admission fee charged.

When you have enjoyed all that Encinitas has to offer... don't forget that La Jolla and downtown San Diego are just a short drive away, along with Sea World, Seaport Village, Legoland, Balboa Park, San Diego Zoo, the island of Coronado and much more that San Diego has to offer.
